This year has low expectations

Jesus, I'm all over the Web. So like how many blogs do I have already?!

Because I am in the mood of starting a new one, here I am with another blog for the new year. What's good, guys?

And since I totally failed in documenting my life for the past two years, here's to hoping I would be able to pull this one of. Thus, the annual reset of things.

They say that New Years (as in January 1 of every year) are quite symbollic to people in a way because it gives them the chance to start all over. Say, the most common is that when you want to lose weight, you pledge to yourself that you'll work out this coming year and you'll start over by eating healthy again.

Or when you haven't been to any place at all in 2015 and you decided to explore the world outside your door in 2016.

Or when career-wise, you've never excelled last year but this year you promised yourself you'll get that promotion.

Or when you kept running away from your responsibilities and this time you want to face the world as an adult--a mature one.

Or when you had one too many mishaps on the previous year and you want to resolve that the following year by making the right choices in life.

I was once that person. That someone who had high hopes and expectations for the year to come. I even listed down all the things I want to do and accomplish for the year (Well, I still do) but end up getting frustrated when December comes.

It sucks, really.

For a while I thought, maybe I could do all these stuff this year. But 365 days ain't enough to fulfill all those goals. It needs more time for preparation and more efforts in doing so.

So, I came up with this resolution to have low expectations for 2016. In this way I could start doing things and accomplishing my goals anytime I want to. No excuse to wait for another January 1 and see the rest of the days in a year flash by with regrets.

Besides, Year 2016 is a leap year--there's additional day to the 365 normal count. One more day to procrastinate. What else could go wrong? Lol.

What about you? What's your new year's resolution?

By the way, this new blog of mine is intended for my own musings and to document highlights of my life. Not a lifestyle blog like the previous ones.

I might be posting old write-ups from different places--drafts from my devices, published old posts from past blogs, or even those articles scrapped from work (haha!)--for more content.

I'm also planning to share my travels and food trips here, but on a more personal take.

Other than those, hmmm... let's see. Watch this space. Careful.
