Look, Ma, I'm on TV!
STORY TIME. When I was a kid, I always dream about seeing myself on TV. (You can read about that here: Twenty Years and In-Betweens)
When I joined the media back in 2012, I had a very, very short stint with TV5 which somehow gave me the opportunity to expose my "acting prowess" on screen—as an extra for several segments. One of which, here:

(You can watch this two-minute segment here: Good Morning Club - Makata Adventures)
But, since I changed track and pursued print journ after, the chances of landing on television became slim. I was still hoping though that maybe there will be another career shift that would lead me back to broadcast.
It didn't. Instead, a wonderful thing happened in 2017 where I landed a MarComm job for a five-star hotel. Imagine that shift.
Let's fast track this story a bit.
So my point is, after I left media, that was when I got the chance to fully expose myself to the world—I mean, the Philippines. Or technically, those who watched DZMM Teleradyo on that particular day.
Hello, TV and radio guesting!

I was just lucky to be part of the charity run committee and I was assigned to do the guesting in Kapamilya Konek, together with our counterparts in Manila Bay.
We talked about Run and Raise's fifth year and invited people to register for a cause.

The program was hosted by ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya's Ms. Susan Afan and Ms. Jing Castañeda. Both were on a vacation so Mr. Neil Badion took over.

We were also joined by Ms. Wilma de Lara of ALKFI, our partner charity for the event. They were very supportive ever since the project started five years ago.
I was actually thrilled but inexplicably nervous before the day of the show. I told my Ma about it and asked her to stay tuned just for support. (The holidays were a very busy time for our family's business that's why knowing that she's waiting for me on TV means a lot.)
My boyfriend also accompanied me all the way to ABS-CBN, which was very helpful.

So, there.
I am beyond grateful to New World for giving me these kinds of opportunities, which honestly, I didn't expect I'll be experiencing in this line of work.
And talk about ending the year on a high note. I mean, look, I was on TV.
Happy New Year!
